The Oricane HOPE (HOPE Optimization and Process Engineering) process is a multi-phase process allowing the customer to select a suitable level of involvement ranging from a detailed analysis to a pilot/prototype or a productized application.
Any phase may be re-iterated with new parameters on customer request if requirements are not met or the prerequisites are changed. However, Oricane is committed to guiding the customer through all the steps of the HOPE process and ensuring that the risk of executing HOPE phases where the input parameters are not likely to produce acceptable output is minimized to the greatest extent possible.
Typical phases of a HOPE process include:
Initial Projection
Oricane performs an initial analysis and presents an initial projection of the expected performance from using Oricane’s technology in customer's product. Oricane’s analysis is based on information provided by the customer and results from brief interviews to understand bottlenecks in the customer’s product and scope out and quantify what improvements are necessary and desirable.
Evaluation Matrix
Oricane performs in depth interviews and gathers detailed information to build a theoretical model of the platform run by the customer resulting in an evaluation matrix for analyzing key performance metrics in the theoretical model.
Comprehensive Analysis
Worst case performance, as well as typical-, average- and best case performance (whenever applicable), of the customer's algorithms and/or an alternative Oricane algorithm are analyzed and compared.
Prototype/Pilot Implementation
Oricane implements and integrates the proposed solutions in the customer’s platform and runs benchmarks to confirm the results from the Comprehensive Analysis. This also includes fine tuning and tailoring algorithms to achieve the best possible performance. Benchmark suites and test tools are available from Oricane on request.
Finished Product
Oricane also offers to take the prototype application all the way to a finished product if the customer so desires. End user product support is not offered at this moment, however, Oricane can offer product specific education and courses to the customer’s support team in order improve customer service.
